NPZ maths preparation

The national assessment (NPZ) in maths checks how well you master primary school material. Preparation works by finding where you get stuck with tasks from past years and then revising those topics. Lessons are 45 minutes, €18, at your home or online. The goal is to feel calm during the assessment and to know how to approach a task.

How preparation works

We solve a few tasks from previous years and see which topics cause trouble. We revise those topics with new examples, and then practise solving against the clock so there are no surprises.

Topics we usually revise

  • Fractions and decimals
  • Percentages
  • Equations
  • Geometry
  • Word problems
  • Functions
  • Solving against the clock

For parents

How it works with your child

  • You are welcome at the first lessons

At the first lesson, and for a few more if you like, you can sit in and see how it goes and whether it suits your child.

  • Then one-to-one

Later we work 1-on-1 so your child can focus better. If the lesson is at home, it is good to have an adult nearby.

  • No risk

The first chat (15 minutes) is free, and you can cancel a lesson free of charge up to 24 hours before.

  • Honest advice

If I think your child does not need tutoring, or that someone else could help them better, I will tell you.

Frequently asked

Before you write

When should I start preparing?

A few weeks before the assessment is usually enough to strengthen harder topics. If difficulties are longer-standing, start earlier.

How many lessons do I need?

After the first lesson I tell you a realistic estimate. A few lessons of targeted revision are often enough.

Still not sure?

That is fine. Write what interests you, even if you do not know whether you need tutoring at all. I reply within a day.
